There’s something special about a newborn session, especially when it’s for first-time parents and when it’s the first grandchild on both sides! This newborn photography session in St. Catharines for baby Wyatt was filled with so much love, excitement, and meaning from the very start.
Planning a Newborn Session in My St. Catharines Studio
Behind every newborn photo session there is often a flurry of creative thinking and preparation! As a St. Catharines newborn photographer, I always take time to design each session so it feels personal and unique to every family. I get incredibly excited envisioning all the unique ways to pose and style each tiny client.
For Wyatt’s session, I had a variety of setups ready in advance. I typically prepare 3–4 different looks ready to go in my St. Catharines studio.
Why multiple setups? Because newborns always work on their own schedule and set the pace. Having everything ready means we can move seamlessly from one setup to the next while baby is calm and sleepy, capturing a beautiful mix of images without disrupting those peaceful moments.
Personalizing Your Newborn Photography Experience
Wyatt’s parents are not only a lovely young couple, but they also share a deep love for baseball – especially our very own Toronto Blue Jays! Knowing this, I had a vision to incorporate their passion into Wyatt’s session. It’s those personal touches that truly make a newborn gallery unique, meaningful, authentic and timeless.
We gently posed little Wyatt snuggled into a baseball glove, with a tiny baseball nearby, capturing the essence of their shared hobby. He looked absolutely adorable, completely content and dreaming away, perhaps of future home runs!
Of course, the big question is: What if this little guy grows up and prefers something else over baseball?
Ultimately, these photos aren’t just about baseball. Whether Wyatt grows up loving baseball or chooses something completely different, these images will always hold meaning because they represent where his story began. And he will always have these super cute images of him!!
